With good foundation in avionics, propulsion and optimisation of aerodynamic systems we are heading with our project NEONE towards space. Our effort is to shift the boundaries of communication services further.
We are working with mini satellites on a single space platform measuring 4U, the CubeSat standard. The satellite is equipped with a complete set of onboard systems to build and maintain an accurate triaxial inertial orientation. Our satellites will carry a communication LED grid emitting amplified light based on LASER. They will orbit the Earth, intersecting its axis. The simplicity is the goal of our endeavour, therefore the size of the minisatellites (without solar panels) will not be more than 100x100x400 mm and weigh not more than 10 kg.
Solar panels are the primary source of electricity for both onboard equipment and charging of the storage batteries for continuous satellite operations.
We are especially proud of our propulsion unit, which is constructed based on Ion
Engine, strong enough to not only keep our satellites in orbit, but also allow the
satellites to manoeuvre while performing tasks. We have carefully selected technology
from established European research and technology-
